Melbourne Stop

semi-overcast 14 °C

So we have finally started our trip and yes we are both already sick of living out of a backpack!!!

We flew in on Wednesday in our sexy outifts, thanks to Sharon and Mike. I felt like such an object after continually being looked up and down!

We have had a few days here now with Dave, Lis and Alleira which has been great. We went to Healesville Santuary a couple of days ago which was pretty cool. It was like a zoo with a lot of aussie animals like koala, kangaroo and tasmanian devil. They had a birds of prey show which was pretty amazing. It was in an open arena and had different large birds like raptors trained to fly around just above the crowd. The flargest bird, the wedge tail eagle, with a 2.5m wingspan flew right over my head and knocked my sunnies off as i tried to get a photo! Dave Cliff's highlight was when the water rats had sex underwater.

Dave and I are heading into Melbourne city today to have a sports day with Bartles with golf, tennis and darts while Rach and Lisa are going to the Queen Victoria markets. Then we are going to go out tonight to party. Tommorow we are catching up with Lyn, Charlie and Shelley for a late lunch, then maybe going to a footy (AFL) game before flying out at 10pm local time.

Hope everyone is well :)
